 Doug and the entire Creative Cycles family would like all of you to go out and visit a really nice facebook page named GearJammers Magazine. Travis, the man behind the site, requested permission to post images and videos of Doug Keim / Creative Cycles motorcycles on his page, and it turned out really nice. The page features motorcycles and cars from many top name builders, along with plenty of other unique features to keep you interested and coming back daily. We want to say THANKS to Travis and GearJammers for their work and dedication to our industry.

 Have you checked out the Doug Keim and the Creative Cycles facebook pages lately? What, you didn’t know we each had facebook pages! Well get your bad self on over to facebook and check these two pages out. Each has unique features…. Doug’s page has pictures from life outside the bike business, as well as some bike related stuff. Come on, it is Doug’s page afterall, of course there had to be some bike stuff.

 The Creative Cycles page has some behind the scenes stuff on our builds, pictures from events AND the most up to date pictures and news from inside the shop. There are even images of some of our new projects to be found on the page.

 Hey everybody… yeah it has been some time since I actually got on here and personally placed a post on our news page. But the good news is… I have just been really busy, which is a really good thing these days.

 Anyway… the purpose for my logging in is that I have a few things on my mind. One of these is that I want to say THANK YOU to all of our friends for their continued patronage. I realize that our economy has not been so perfect, although recently it does seem to be getting better… regardless of what the economy is doing, you have still found a way to continue to come in to see us and to have your motorcycles serviced and / or repaired, and my family and I greatly appreciate this. 

 The second reason for my logging in is to put an end to all the rumors about my being sick. I have heard feed back from a number of sources. Much of this chatter features all sorts of wild stories and variations. So here’s the deal… Yes… last November (2011) I did in fact get sick, and YES… I was in fact placed in the hospital. However, after a short stay it was determined that I had a bad case of pneumonia… nothing more, nothing less. Yeah, I didn’t feel very well for a while there, had a big time fever, looked like crap and was seriously short of breath. But it was nothing life ending thank goodness. I was NOT having a heart attack, had no chest pains, nothing like that! So please feel confident that I have no intention of going anywhere any time soon! I also want to say Thanks to many of you for the emails and facebook messages. So there you have it… you’re stuck with me for a while!

 Lastly… Be sure to look out for information on our upcoming Spring 2012 OPEN HOUSE. Since our past Open House events had been such a hit… we are going to be doing a fair number of them this year… so stay on the lookout for information regarding the dates and times.

 Harley-Davidson has announced a recall which will effect over 300,000 vehicles. PLEASE read this information. If you find you have a vehicle that may be included within this recall, or even if you are just not sure… PLEASE contact your nearest Harley-Davidson dealer for further information. Rememeber… this could be a serious concern if not corrected.

 We here at Creative Cycles wish to say a big “THANK YOU” to everyone that came out and attended our two… YES two… “Fall Open House” events… one on October 1st and another on October 8th.

 As most of you may know, we had scheduled our “Fall Open House” for October 1st, 2011, with a “rain date” of October 8th… and it went off on the 1st of October just as planned. We had a fantastic turn out and had an amazing day. We had plenty of people, bikes, food, drinks, discounts, specials, etc.  Well, what we didn’t realize was that there must have been rain in some areas. Since it didn’t rain here and we had a great turnout, we thought we had done it, and done it very nicely. Well, come Sunday and Monday of the following week we were receiving email and phone calls from people confirming our rain date of October 8th, 2011 because they “thought” we had been rained out. So we figured what the heck, and decided to do it AGAIN on the 8th. Mind you, the attendance was a bit less on the 8th, but we still had plenty of people, bikes, food and drinks and had a very good time. All in all… our two “Fall Open House” events were a HUGE success and we owe it all to you, our clients, friends and fans. We would also like to say “THANK YOU” to our supporters, sponsors, partners and industry friends for all that they do for us, both in our day to day operations and at our events. We would like to ask you to please consider using their offerings whenever you are looking for products for your personal use.
